About Us

MEOA members are employees, which are appointed by their respective Minister as Environment Officers, Managers, Environmental Engineers, Public Health Inspectors, Drinking Water Officers, and Pollution Prevention Officers.  The association serves the needs of their membership so they can maximize their contribution to the protection, maintenance, and rehabilitation of Manitoba's environmental ecosystems. 

The primary goals of the association are:

• To maintain an association of Manitoba Environment Officers within the Province of Manitoba to foster solidarity and to promote our mutual interests

• To secure and maintain maximum recognition of Manitoba Environment Officers' responsibilities by their employer, the public and their clients

• To maintain a high standard of Professionalism among its members and for our clients

• To provide a strong unified voice within government

• To promote and encourage a high standard of morale in the membership

• To promote professional and career development for Environment Officers

• To foster an open, honest and flexible working environment in which members can operate as a team to deliver services to our clients

• To maintain and strengthen all legislation that is needed in the protection of the environment in the Province of Manitoba.
